Presentation of the artwork-game Disillusion in the booth of [De ïs Ka]. The Hague.

23rd / 28th October 2007

A dummy of Disillusion was available for public to play. 12 Tales Machine was also on display and free to use. It is about a visual machine to watch moving pictures that users can activate by turning a handle and looking through a viewer. There are eleven reels with pictures that you can put in the machine to watch. Each reel is in a numbered box and shows always a different person executing the same action: activating 12 Tales Machine by turning the handle and looking through the viewer. There is a certain feeling of mise-en-abime, for you can guess that the person in the reel is also watching another person doing the same in his/her reel of images. Only reel number 7 shows something different.
